Volunteering with the Circle of Atonement

As a small non-profit organization, the Circle of Atonement relies on a diverse team of volunteers who have all sorts of skills and expertise with which to help us extend the message of A Course in Miracles.

Our volunteers contribute to a wide range of projects, from behind the scenes – taking care of the Circle’s extensive archive of written and video resources, editing, copywriting, and administration – to more visible initiatives such as the Story Project. We really couldn’t do everything that we do without our volunteers and are so grateful for the contribution of each and every one.

Our Volunteer Coordination Team seeks to ensure that everyone who offers their help is assigned to a project (or multiple projects) that will be most suitable for their skills and availability, and which is as rewarding as possible.

A survey showed that the majority of our volunteers had benefited from the Circle’s teaching of A Course in Miracles and wanted to give something back, but there are many other reasons that people choose to offer their valuable time and effort, whether it’s for a few hours a month or several hours a day. As a way of showing our gratitude, perks are offered to active volunteers, including access to Circle of Atonement events and workshops. As our volunteers usually work remotely, informal quarterly meetings are offered via Zoom so that they can connect with one another, in addition to more regular contact with their project/team leaders.

We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with a passion for the Course and experience in the following areas:

  • Video editing
  • Fundraising

If volunteering with the Circle of Atonement is of interest to you, the Volunteer Coordination Team would love to hear from you via the application form link below. After you have submitted your application, Jacquie or Sarah will get back to you to give you an idea of existing or upcoming volunteer opportunities that may be suitable. They will also go over what we expect from our volunteers and what you can expect from us. If we are unable to match you with an existing project or requirement, we will let you know and offer to keep in touch.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to email us: volunteer@circleofa.org
