holy encounter
An encounter between two people in which salvation is given and returned and mutually shared. The Course teaches that such encounters are the most powerful catalysts for our awakening, for it is in these that “salvation can be found” (CE T-13.IV.8:5). It also teaches that the Holy Spirit arranges all human encounters, making sure that each one contains the potential for being a holy encounter (see CE M-3.2). The term itself is seldom used (see CE T-8.II, CE T-13.IV, P-2.I.4), but the concept occurs throughout the Course (see for instance, CE M-3.2, P-3.III.6, CE W-315.1, CE W-95.16:3-16:6, P-2.VII.8).
