128: Does God Really Have a Plan?
Amidst all of life’s chaos, we find ourselves hoping that someone up there has a plan—a plan for our lives, a plan for our world. It’s hard to shake this hope, even when we don’t believe in God. At the same time, the notion of God’s plan comes with a lot of baggage for fear of what it will ask of us. In this episode, Robert and Emily explore the concept of God’s plan as it appears in A Course in Miracles. In the Course, God’s plan runs all the way from the most general—what will bring everyone home to God—to the most specific—what we should do in the next hour. And at every point, God’s plan contrasts with our plans for what will make us happy. If you have wanted to understand God’s plan and if you’ve wanted a new perspective on it, this is an episode you won’t want to miss.
